Blessing Others

As I prepare for Thanksgiving, I usually begin thinking of all the blessings God has given to me, and I’m thankful. However, this year I am not only thanking God for His many blessings, but I’m asking Him to show me how I can bless others.

I know many of my Amish friends who bless others by helping whenever they can. In fact, I’ve seen them drop whatever they are doing to help when a friend or relative has a need. I believe that God blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. He desires for us to have a giving, loving heart. We are to imitate Jesus and go about doing good, as mentioned in Acts 10:38.

God’s Word also tells us in Ephesians 1:3: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

What are some ways you have been blessed this week? What are some things you can do to bless others?

  1. I thank the good Lord for allowing me to see another day, and I thank the Lord for blessing my life with a grandchild. My first, a baby girl, Ebbonie Lynn. She is 3 wks and 2 days of age, beautiful baby, at least to me she is, guess I am biased, but she is gorgeous! I am very blessed in numerous ways, my children, 4 boys and 1 girl, plus a new granddaughter. My friends and relations, I really am blessed in numerous ways and thankful to know the Lord Christ as my personal savior, he is a long time friend, forgotten and remembered, He will never stop being my friend, and He is your friend also!

  2. Well I am 15 years old and have been through I guess what some people would call hardships. plenty of them. When I was two years old me and my baby sister were taken away from our biological mother. She was not the mother meant for us.All this led me to believe that God did not love me I mean if my own mother didn’t then why would God? But just recently I decided to talk to my friend about it and she talked with me about this idea I had. She helped me realize that God did love me. He sent me to a family who loves me no matter my faults. I realize now that all the hardships I faced in my childhood led me here. With a great family and great friends to help me through dark times. I love them all. And now most importantly God.
This bible verse has also accept that god does love and have good things in store for me. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11
