Musings by Maureen:
The Restoration is the final book in the Prairie State Friends series and I am sad to leave these dear friends behind, but I love getting to the end of stories, even if it isn’t the way I wanted it to end.

Our three friends are back, Priscilla, Leah, and Elaine, and yes they always seem to be there for each other. Leah is now married to Adam and you will love their relationship with the girls, but there is now a new person in their lives, and we don’t know how this is going to end with so much bitterness.

Elaine is in a new relationship with Ben, and he has proposed, will she accept and fulfill her dreams of having a family of her own. The same with Priscilla will Elam ever ask her to marry him? Or will the new guy in town fulfill his dreams and win Priscilla, this is going to be a rock road, and you wonder who will get hurt, and you are surly going to be surprised in the end.

Such a good and fast read, almost two (sic) fast, but I had to find out, but then the final page was turned and of course, I wanted more. Enjoy! http://musingsbymaureen.blogspot.com/2016/02/the-restoration-prairie-state-friends-3.html.

Night Owl Reviews Top Pick 5-Star Review:

review“I liked the way this author was able to present these characters lives to the reader where we find hope, love, disappointments, tragedy, and struggles as well as longing through all the emotional parts of this storyline that flowed very well. Bringing in the hummingbirds and the other animals were a perfect fit into this story. Also the topic of reflexology was an interesting part of this wonderful story as the reader will see Adam’s past as well as Leah’s. Be ready for many twists that keep you alert because the author seems to do this so often in this novel. You will be definitely be kept wondering what will be coming next as the reader sees how well this author will bring out love, loss and family issues.

By the end of this story the reader will be left only wanting more of this inspirational read as we wait for the next book in the series as we will be left with a cliffhanger with many unanswered questions as the reader will be left wondering – will Adam be able to put aside the past? I guess we will have to wait for this answer and more when the next story, The Revelation, is ready to read.”

“Brunstetter’s soothing expressive style of writing is a balm to her readers as they seek an escape from their harried lives. The slower pace of the Amish provides this escape, even though the day to day problems remain the same in both worlds.” —SingleTitles.com

The Lopsided Christmas Cake by Wanda E. and Jean Brunstetter is a delightful Christian fiction story. It’s a well written, quick and easy story to read and enjoy. Wanda and Jean Brunstetter have shared their knowledge of the Amish way of life in a loving manner with four main characters that were impossible to not like. I highly recommend The Lopsided Christmas Cake as a great summer beach read. However, be sure to not be misled by the Christmas in the title as you will enjoy this book any time of the year.” —Readers’ Favorite
